Petfinder.com has to be one of the most popular websites out there for pet adoption. Like most websites in this category, it is outdated and suffers from a poor/unorganized design.
When someone comes to a website to adopt a pet, presentation is key and can make the difference between a pet’s life or death in the end. By re-branding petfinder.com in a clearer layout with more welcoming fun colors, they are more likely going to be able to help pets looking for homes.
As Dribbble remains highly exclusive, I’ve have posted to hear a cute little comp of pink and white UI elements.
I love LA food trucks, but I HATE their websites. They have some of the ugliest websites I’ve ever had to go to to try to find information and sometimes they don’t have enough content for me to be able to tell if I want to eat at their truck (let alone where their truck is!).
For this design, I made a sort of generic idea for a food truck website with all the lovely things I’d love to see when I go to one. Mainly schedule, menu and PRICE (I’m talking to you food truck websites that make me yelp your price instead, so I don’t walk a mile for no reason).

Haven’t had a chance to read these but if you’re in the mood to get a book on design, this would probably be a good choice.
